• Regulatory reforms to hold OPOs accountable to objective data, projected to save more than 7,200 lives every year;

• Three separate Congressional investigations into the organ donation industry from the House Oversight Committee, Senate Finance Committee and Energy & Commerce Committee; 

• Four separate Congressional oversight hearings

• The Biden administration’s announcement of its plan to break up the national organ monopoly

• The unanimous passage of legislation in both the House and the Senate; and

• Awarding of new OPTN contracts to organizations other than UNOS
