Organize Impact of Work
Organize’s research has been published in the American Journal of Transplantation and the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA), and has helped inform ongoing policy reforms. Specifically, our research was cited by the President at the signing of the Executive Order; throughout HHS’s proposed rule; and in bipartisan Congressional oversight from the Senate Finance Committee; Senators Grassley and Young; Reps. Katie Porter and Karen Bass; and Senators Warren and Blumenthal. Several Organize initiatives were highlighted at the 2016 White House Organ Donation Summit. [ link here]
Additionally, our work is regularly cited in op-eds and national media, including the New York Times, Washington Post, the Associated Press, Axios, Politico, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee, which has highlighted the opportunity to help thousands more patients receive organ transplants through OPO reform.
For a full list of policy reforms we have advocated, see our paper published by the Day One Project.
